The Premier League, in partnership with Tencent Sports, Tencent Gaming and EA SPORTS, is launching ePremier League China this month, the first ePremier League event to be staged outside the United Kingdom.

According to the release, this is the first ePremier League event to be staged outside of the United Kingdom. The tournament will take place on EA SPORTS FIFA Online 4 and commences on April 28th.

The ePremier League event will see ‘some of the best Chinese gamers’ from FIFA Online 4, as well as hand-picked content creators and influencers, represent all 20 Premier League clubs. It was also announced that the tournament will be streamed live by Tencent across China.In addition, the tournament will be streaming on Tencent-related video platform Tencent Sports, Tencent Video, Tencent News, as well as live streaming platforms DouYu and Huya.

The competition kicks off next week and completes Saturday May 15.

Premier League commercial director Will Brass said: “The EA SPORTS FIFA Online 4 video game series is one of the key channels through which fans in Asia can engage with Premier League clubs and players.

“After three successful ePremier League seasons in the UK, it is exciting to now be able to take this overseas for the first time and particularly to China – a hotbed for gaming and football.

This will include famous eSports commentator Guan Zeyuan and the well-known FIFA Online influencer Shen Rongjie.

The clubs will be divided into four groups of five teams, with the winners of each group advancing to a knockout stage. Group-stage matches will be played online, whereas knockout matches will be played offline at Wisdom Bay in Shanghai.

Group matches will take place between Wednesday 28 April and Saturday 8 May. The knockout phase will be held on Friday 14 May, with the Grand Final on Saturday 15 May.

FIFA Online 4 (FO4) on PC has more than 10million registered players in China. The Premier League says it has eight million followers across its digital and social platforms.

Diablo Immortal allows players to create an avatar and role-play a bit more

It’s been around two years already since we heard anything about Diablo Immortal. It was first announced in Blizzcon 2018 where it was met with negative reception (because of the hilarious “Do you guys not have smartphones?”) but we finally get a real full update. Just a few hours ago, a new Diablo Immortal Facebook page was set up alongside a Development Update video.

Diablo Immortal is an upcoming Diablo game for mobile set twenty years before the main franchise. It’s set to explore the stories of Deckard Cain, Tyrael, and other series regulars. Also, when it was revealed instead of Diablo 4, the entire fanbase exploded. Now that Diablo 4 is finally in production, you’d think that the rage over Blizzard daring to release a phone game instead would’ve died down a bit. You’d really think so. Sadly, we haven’t really heard much about Immortal since its initial announcement and extremely poor reception, but that may change soon, because Activision just mentioned it in a very positive manner. Though one of the most interesting points about the game that they shared is the fact that Diablo Immortal is more than just a straight port of a Diablo game on mobile. Instead, th e game adds various mobile MMO elements to make for a more unique gameplay experience.

Unlike previous games where players take on the role of a specific character that’s pretty much at the center of the story, Diablo Immortal allows players to create an avatar and role-play a bit more. Though character creation isn’t the only way that Immortal is an MMO, there’s also a variety of ways that the upcoming Diablo game feels more ‘massive’.

Beyond that, the game offers yet more. Players can spend their time in the main town hub of Westmarch, which features a tavern, explore the zones for hidden layers and dungeons, play through the story content and dungeons alone, or with friends, and even hang out with good ol’ Deckard Cain.

On top of that, Diablo Immortal is now in technical alpha stage and it’s available for testing. However, only a few mobile gamers have access and it’s only in Australia. We have to say that the graphics look phenomenon and very reminiscent of Diablo 3. It’s said that the story takes place between Diablo 2 and Diablo 3, as well as being able to play together with your friends online.

Paradox Interactive released the Northern Lords Flavor Pack for Crusader Kings III

Paradox Interactive released the Northern Lords Flavor Pack for Crusader Kings III, its intriguing grand strategy/roleplay-your-ruling-dynasty game. It’s the first DLC for the game, which launched in September. Crusader Kings III has already sold more than 1 million copies.

Northern Lords Flavor Pack adds Norse-themed content to the game. Northern Lords is not as beefy as a new expansion, so it’s being sold for $6.99. In terms of core gameplay, the biggest new feature are the Varangian Adventures, which essentially allows rulers stricken by wanderlust to pick up their realm lock, stock, and barrel and move it overseas. When you decide to go on an adventure, you’re granted a large bonus army of pissed off Vikings, allowing you to conquer realms that would usually be a bit too powerful to take on. If you win your war, you take over the new realm, but have to give up your old holdings and vassals. It’s a major price to pay, but hey, sometimes you just need a new set of scenery! Varangian Adventures, along with some tweaks to raiding, lets players embody that Viking spirit without all the fuss and planning usually required of overseas wars.

Of course, Crusader Kings III wasn’t the only game covered at Paradox Insider, where developers mentioned new content for its sci-fi-focused games, Surviving Mars and Stellaris. Surviving Mars is planned to receive new content later this year, including new buildings within your domed communities. The closed beta phase of WoW: Burning Crusade Classic is on its way

A few days ago, Blizzard started beta testing the first expansion for World of Warcraft – no joke! It was originally released in 2007 and although we would expect that there is nothing more to fix in it, the developers still decided to include it in the test period, either because of the actual corrections, or because of the players’ need to buy a subscription again.

The closed beta phase of WoW: Burning Crusade Classic is on its way and, according to some Blizzard-related streamers, it can start at any time. Or has it even started? Last night a new entry for World of Warcraft appeared in the Blizzard launcher for various players: Burning Crusade Classic Beta.

After the numerous findings from the first two days of the closed beta of WoW: Burning Crusade Classic, the hardworking testers invested many more hours on the Outland at the weekend to try things out, check information and look for bugs. We bring you up to date:

There was a hotfix for the Urnether tooltip. The important item is now bound when it is picked up and can no longer be sold to other players. The healing from Skull Flame Shield also scales to the same extent with your plus healing. The damage doesn’t scale.
Discarding the coins from Zul’Gurub no longer gives experience points at level 58.
Blade of Eternal Darkness is still strong in big pulls in the TBC beta.
Handing in materials to NPCs in the capitals rewards you with experience points the first time.
Despite the weakening of many area spells, mages with a customized style of play in Maraudon, Zul’Farrak and Zul’Gurub can still perform quite large pulls.
In the beta, a new, big pull is possible in Zul’Gurub, with the voodoo slaves in front of Jin’do.
It is possible to summon low-level characters to Outland using Warlocks.
Outland’s first dungeons give more experience than Stratholme.
Mages can quite easily farm trash groups solo in the slave shelters and thus receive experience points extremely efficiently.

Players selected to participate in the beta test will receive an email invitation directing them to download the beta client directly from the Battle.net desktop app.

The good news is that more invites will be released during the beta, meaning that there will still be plenty of time to join before things wrap up.

The beta version of Burning Crusade Classic can be accessed only with an active user account, and with invitations that Blizzard sends to player addresses. According to fresh information, invitations are sent every now and then, so if you still haven’t received yours, you shouldn’t lose hope. All the more so as it is not yet known how much time the Burning Crusade Classic will spend in beta, nor when we can expect it to become active on the servers, but we doubt it will be more than a couple of months. In beta, it is currently possible to build characters up to the final 64th stage of development (70th in the final edition) and popular add-ons are disabled for testing purposes, and those who gain access can move their own characters to test servers or create completely new ones, which is not bad for trying out classes you haven’t played.

So we must continue to be patient. According to a “global string” in the WoW files, the pre-patch of Burning Crusade Classic could go online on May 18th. Wouldn’t it be great if we could test the Outland content extensively beforehand. We’ll keep you up to date.
